The LSI Future Leaders Scholarship & Awards Program is proud to support Black students with a passion for Law and Social Justice. This scholarship is designed for students who plan to pursue a career in law, with a particular focus on advocating for justice, equality, and human rights. Through this scholarship, we aim to help you overcome financial barriers while providing mentorship and support on your journey to becoming a leader in the legal field.
We recognize the critical role that Black voices play in the fight for justice and equality, and we are committed to empowering the next generation of Black lawyers and social justice advocates. The LSI Law & Social Justice Scholarship is for students who are driven by a deep interest in social justice and are committed to making a tangible difference in their communities and the broader society.
The LSI Law & Social Justice Scholarship Eligibility & Requirements
To apply for the LSI Law & Social Justice Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Race/Ethnicity: Identify as Black/Person of African Descent.
- Career Aspirations: Have a clear path to pursue a career in Law.
- Academic Enrollment: Currently enrolled in Grade 12 or post-secondary student and will be attending or returning to a post-secondary, trade institution in the 2025/2026 academic year.
- Canadian Status: Applicants must be Canadian Citizens, Permanent Residents, or Protected Person.
Application Deadline
The deadline for this application is June 15, 2025.
